Meet Roz, the bystander. Roz was always watching everyone else. She was so bored, so done with her dull, monotone, dry suburban life—she felt like she was behind a glass wall while the rest of the world was having madcap adventures. Nothing changed. Nothing exciting…until someone started watching her. Obsessively. Her every move. He sent her text messages, e-mails, called her phone. It was exciting at first, flattering. But then he started sending videos of her, videos from places he shouldn’t have been: her bathroom, her closet. He started following her, started threatening her, obsessing over her. Roz had her own personal monster in her closet, under her bed, invading everywhere in her orderly little world. He got his hands on her, she got away, but so did he. Roz wasn’t sent to Walt. She escaped to it, hidden away. And if her OCD’s kicked into overdrive, if the life is gone and left her voice flat, it’s because she can’t believe, can’t really trust, that she’s truly woken up from the nightmare…and maybe she hasn’t.
